A round of golf generates a lot of CO₂. Calculate yours, then plant the exact trees to offset it — in under 2 minutes.
Like any leisure activity, golf generates greenhouse gas emissions. It's time to measure them and act.
Regular driving to local courses is often the largest single source of emissions. Car type, distance, and frequency all matter.
A single long-haul golf trip can equal months of local emissions. Flights, hotels, and multiple rounds add up fast.
Clubs, bags, balls, and apparel carry an embedded carbon cost from manufacturing and global logistics chains.
Mowing, irrigation, fertilisers, and machinery used throughout the year contribute significantly to every round played.

Thousands of golfers have already offset their game. Here's what they say.
I've played golf for 20 years without thinking about my footprint. Greenzzly made it so easy — I offset my entire year of golf in one go. Every year, without thinking twice.
As a golf club captain, I introduced Greenzzly to our whole membership. In our first year, we collectively planted over 1,200 trees by offsetting our annual rounds. Our members love it.
I was skeptical at first, but seeing the certified project details and tracking my trees in real time won me over. Offsetting a full year of golf in minutes — this is how eco-action should work.
Our projects are independently certified and audited — every tree you fund is real and trackable.
All projects meet the Verified Carbon Standard — the world's leading carbon crediting framework.
Projects carry the Gold Standard label, ensuring co-benefits for communities and the environment.
Our impact metrics are audited annually — independent, verified assurance every year.
Join hundreds of golfers who are offsetting their entire year of golf — simply and transparently.
The only tool built to calculate and offset the carbon footprint of your golf — simply, transparently, and scientifically.
The Decarbonizer doesn't just give you a number — it turns awareness into immediate action.
Rounds per year, travel mode, golf trips, equipment used. Takes under 2 minutes.
A precise annual CO₂ figure based on peer-reviewed emission factors.
Fund the exact number of trees in certified reforestation projects. Instantly. Verifiably.
Trees are nature's own carbon capture technology — and they do far more than store CO₂.
Trees absorb CO₂ through photosynthesis and store it in biomass and soil for decades.
Planting native trees rebuilds lost ecosystems, restores water cycles, and creates wildlife habitats.
Every project certified by Verra or Gold Standard and company audited by Arthur Andersen.

An evidence-based guide to understanding golf's environmental impact — and what golfers can do about it.
A carbon footprint is the total amount of greenhouse gases — primarily CO₂ — produced directly or indirectly by an activity. Measured in tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (tCO₂e), it is the key metric for understanding and managing climate impact.
For a golfer, this means accounting for all emissions generated by their golf activity over the course of a year.
A typical round — including car travel — generates 10–35 kg of CO₂. A golfer playing 40 rounds per year accumulates on average 2 tonnes annually. Add a long-haul trip and that figure can double.
The Golf Decarbonizer gives every golfer a precise measurement of their footprint — and an immediate, verified way to offset it. Golf is played in nature. It's only natural that golfers protect it.
Every tree funded through greenzzly is planted in a certified reforestation project — selected for ecological impact and community co-benefits.
Native Atlantic Forest species planted in degraded pastureland, restoring critical habitat for endangered species.
Trees integrated with local farming to restore degraded land, protect communities, and capture carbon.
Restoring riverbank forests to prevent erosion, improve water quality, and create wildlife habitat.
Native beech and fir replanted in the Carpathians, rebuilding one of Europe's last great wilderness areas.
Annual audits confirm every tree is real, growing, and delivering the carbon credits promised.
Live counters of the collective impact made by greenzzly golfers worldwide — verified and audited annually.
We built greenzzly because we love golf — and we love nature. We believe golfers shouldn't have to choose between them.
To make every golfer aware of their environmental impact and give them a simple, verified way to offset it.
A world where every round of golf contributes to restoring the natural landscapes that make the sport possible.
Golf is uniquely connected to nature — courses are played in it, depend on it, and golfers love it. That creates a natural motivation to protect it.
Greenzzly was born from a simple question from a kid on a golf course: "Mum, is golf really green?" That question sparked our curiosity — and led us to understand the real impact of golf on the planet, and to decide to act.
The concept of a golf-specific solution is born. Research begins into the environmental impact of golf and certified reforestation operations.
